Yoga is a journey…and the joy is in the journey.
As a student of Ashtanga and certified teacher of Hatha
Yoga, I’ve seen dramatic changes in my mind, body, and soul. I’ve had the
privilege to study under master practitioners worldwide, and to help hundreds
of students to achieve new heights of awareness and movement in their lives.
Though I had studied metaphysics and
other healing arts, yoga gave me the body alignment and mind strength that
I was craving. It has made me more patient, loving, and emotionally
stable. I can concentrate better, I have more energy and I am more
confident in myself.
If you are open to the possibilities, you, too, can reap the many positive
benefits of yoga.
I
began my study of yoga more than a decade ago. Having been born and
raised in Venezuela, I came to the United States in my late teens to refine
my English and learn business skills that I could bring home to help with
the family business. During my university years I became fascinated
with the healing arts culture in the United States and after graduation,
I chose to stay in North America to pursue certification as both a yoga instructor
and neuromuscular massage therapist. It has been a wonderful journey
that has included study under Patabi Jois, Mark Elsner, David Swenson, David Williams, Ana Forest, and
Brian Kest, and many classes at Yoga and Inner Peace, Sidha Yoga, and The
Omega Institute. Further exploration of the medium has taken me on
travels throughout Scandinavia and Europe, including a three month stay in
Italy.
Yoga has provided me with new tools to face the lessons in
life, and new enthusiasm to explore the unknown. It is often said in
yoga that you are as young as you keep your mind and spine flexible.
Won’t you join me on a yoga journey and reclaim your youthful joy?
Namaste,
